In order to ensure safety and durability, the garage siding can be finished with latex acrylic paint. Foundation by owner, foundation can be: concrete slab foundation or post-and-beam foundation. If your garage is set on a gravel floor, post-and-beam, which costs less, suits well. Post-and-beam consists of 4 x 6 posts placed in the ground, then capped with treated boards that support the walls, very similar to house deck construction. Check local building codes before choosing a foundation method.
